After several years of giving myself "buzz-cuts" I decided to go for a quality set of clippers. I had been using one of those kits which included all of the plastic guards etc. which fell in the $30 price range at Target. There is NO comparison. The Oster Classic 76 is the "Cadillac" of clippers. From the moment you turn them on, you can tell by the smoothness and power of the motor that you have stepped up to top quality clippers. They come with a [1] blade and a [000] blade. I purchased a [0000] which is great for real close shaves or fades. I'm confident these will last for years since I'm using them at home and not in a shop. I would definitely buy this brand again !

Really like how quiet and smooth these clippers are. they don't heat up, like some other's do (i use them for shaving in addition to hair cutting). and the attachments are high quality too. overall, great purchase. i'd highly recommend them. Plus they look great in the desert camo :-) !

I've had my Oster for several months now, and I have to say that it was 100% worth the cost of admission. This is a solid state trimmer, not like one of those "groomers" that you bought to trim your beard back in the '90s. This is truly a professional grade trimmer. It is wieghty, and has heft, but is not "heavy." You can feel that it is well engineered, and you realize that whenever you use it; whenever you clean the head or snap on a trimmer guide.

Get it...If you need to cut hair without power outlets (see my review for Black & Decker PowerMate), or you need something to handle detail work without a cord to wrangle. Or if you're a salonist that doesn't do much clipper work and you don't want clippers and cords littering your station.

I've been a barber for 12 years and this is the only adjustable blade rechargeable clipper i've ever used that I think could replace my wahl senior. It does a quick even cut, and as a bonus it uses the Wahl guards I already have.

First off the shipping was fast, the product was as described, and it works great. I really enjoy using these clippers, they are sturdy, and fit well in your hands, although I am not a professional barber, they work well for my home use. Overall, a great experience with this product.

Its called the PHAT MASTER BECAUSE the blade is PHAT, its huge. you can cut anything from a 1 to a 2. if you want a finer cut than that you'll have to pull out your fade masters, improved masters, or (like me) oster classic 76's. Please research the items you buy. if you cut your own hair these will do the job, even stevens and fades, you're home free. Great set of pro grade clippers.
